Just purchased my ticket for the Eras Tour movie! I'm going solo because I'm a loner, but I'm okay with that. I'll be going this coming Friday for the showing at 4:30pm. Now I just have to see secure a ride since I don't have a car, which is an ever-present pain in my neck and ass 🙄

My personal opinion is that if someone wants to go to a concert multiple times they are in their right to do that. I personally love going to multiple shows! I went to 4 last year seeing My Chemical Romance and I went to 2 seeing Taylor Swift this year. You do what you want with your money. However, if you can go to multiple shows I think it’s necessary to acknowledge your privilege of being able to see all those shows. And you might say “I don’t have money! I just saved up!” which is fine, but there is also the privilege of being able to save money, having a job that allows you to take all that time off, not having to worry about paying for rent or food, and more.

It just gives me major ick when people go to an excessive amount of shows and they joke about how they won’t be able to pay rent or eat. No, my dear. If you really were struggling to fulfill your basic human needs you wouldn’t be able to go to all those shows. Please don’t get me wrong, if you want to go I’m not stopping you. I’m just asking to stop joking about “Ooh haha I spent so much on these concerts I can’t eat now!” when there are many many fans who are genuinely struggling with food insecurity and being unhoused.

how is taylor swift going to have that whole thing with joe and how she couldn’t deal with the fact he had mental health issues so she cheated on him and has basically done everything she can to make his life worse since breaking up with him (her fan base also going after him) but then go and romanticize asylums and mental illness and stuff like that with her new depressed poet persona. like am I the only one who thinks it’s weird that she would act like she’s struggling with her mental health while also making songs outing joes struggles with depression and how he should have gotten over it so they could marry

like ‘new years day’ ‘call it what you want’ ‘king of my heart’ ‘delicate’ ‘dress’ literally the most romantic songs ever and if i had to hear them void of the love she had for joe at the time i would kill myself.

and i’m a joe lover, i will accept no criticisms of him like obvs i don’t know the inner workings of their relationship but he seems like a genuinely GOOD person (seemingly better then taylor…love her music but i have a lot of problems with her). i literally hate when swifties act like he’s evil because…they broke up??? he didn’t marry her??? anyway that is MY lover album and you can HEAR the love in her voice and i couldn’t handle that disappearing.

You don't understand I HAVE to talk to ollie about taylor swift. Like oh his fav artist is taylor swift, right but how much of the lore does he know? How deep in the rabbit hole is he? You don't have to know everything to enjoy her music but has he watched the eras tour movie? I don't think he has or otherwise his playlist would be a bit different. oh here's his fav taylor songs, he has The Way I Loved You tv on there, he has Cruel Summer, Exile, I Knew You Were Trouble, Wildest Dreams tv, All Too Well 10 min tv, Red tv, and Enchanted. but what other songs has he listened to? oh his favorite song is Love Story because he's "a bit of a romantic" but does he know Sweet Nothing? You Are In Love? Labyrinth? invisible string? This Love? Paper Rings? Call It What You Want? I just feel like you can know so much about a person based on their opinions on taylor's music and taylor herself. And him admitting that he likes her music and naming her as his fav on main says alot and I love that. He's already halfway there, someone just needs to hold his hand and drag him a lil and he'd become a full time taylor fan.
